What we look for
- At least three completed book-length projects, ghostwritten or credited
- A full sample chapter you can share — not a portfolio excerpt
- A contract that assigns copyright to the client and uses milestone payments
- One past client willing to speak to a prospect
- Rates in line with the market: roughly $0.75–$2.00 per word for non-fiction

What does it cost to receive leads?
Nothing up front. You pay a referral fee only when an introduction becomes a signed project. No subscription, no listing fee, no pay-per-lead.
What kind of projects come through?
Mostly memoir and family legacy books in the $12,000-$40,000 range, business and thought-leadership books in the $45,000-$150,000 range, and a steady trickle of developmental editing work on half-finished manuscripts.
How are leads qualified?
Every enquiry comes through a four-question quiz covering project stage, book type, budget band and timeline, plus whether they need in-person work. You see that context before you decide whether to take the introduction.
Do I have to be exclusive?
No. Most writers on the list have their own pipeline and take referrals to fill gaps.
